Don't do it!!! It sucks. No good places to offroad and too hot and crowded and flat. About Tacoma's sucking I dont know. I've heard ALOT of good things. Such as their motors running forever and my ex had one and only got stuck once and that was cuz he sat in the middle of the mud pit not moving for like 10 minutes and his brother just pushed the truck a little and we got right out. Yeah i'm not so sure about going from a v8 to v6 though cuz i love to street race a little too lol but oh well gas is expensive and i live far.

Tacomas are great, if you like the frame breaking in half.. If you like unreliability, if you like cheesy interiors, if you like weak axles..

I guess you never saw one throw a rod sitting idling.. I have twice. That was a HUGE turnoff for the Toyota for me.

Lockers are a definite must for offroading a 2WD, but another thing that helps offroading a 2WD is to air down your tire pressure.

i play with plenty of guys out at the dunes that have 2 wheel drive trucks...what do you think most trophy trucks are, they are 2wd with a lot of power....if you want to play do a good lift on your truck, get some really good tires and concentrate on power and gearing and you should be fine.
