Unhappy Off Road tires

Just picked up my 2013 F150 screw with the off road package. Ecobost.
The tires that came with it are Goodyear Wrangler P265-65-18's.
These are 4 ply tires??
The dealer said that the factory rep said early ship trucks basically get what they have.
These are not "off Road" tires.
Any suggestions?

The Wranglers not bad off road but it is a compromise tire for good road manners and off road capable. The P is what makes the ply difference, P tires are the "passenger tire". Where you expecting LTs, Wrangers come in both.

Trail Grapplers are pretty much bullet proof. They laugh at beer bottles.

Trail grapplers seem to be the standard. At least, on this site

I've used destination ats and trail grapplers and for mild offroading the ats worked great and the trail grapplers will handle pretty much anything you throw at them. It all depends on what kind of offroading you want to do for trails with minor rocks any AT will work for deeper thinker mud the I would go with the trail grappers.

Those Wranglers are an All Season tire. In an all season that's as quiet as its going to get.

All terrains (Michelin AT2, Terra Grappler) are going to ride firmer and noiser ( some). Getting into a mud terrain like the Trail grappler will eliminate the smooth quiet ride all together. You will wish you bought a Superduty.

Tread lightly when looking at tires, they look cool in the parking lot and on Facebook, but an aggressive tire will wear on u after a long day.

I guess I didn't make my self clear. I know what good off road tires there are out there it was just that WHY would Ford put passenger tires on a truck with the OFF ROAD option? I am just returning to Fords
