I like rigid industries. More light/smaller profile/water proof/no bulbs to change/less draw on the engine...

So I know it's reviving an old thread, but I just wanted to make sure I understand right. If I were to buy 55w KC "driving lights" I could actually buy and install 100w replacement bulbs with no problems? Asking because I think I like the looks of the rectangular lights on my brush guard, but they only come in 55w.
Also if anybody has any pics of a brush guard with rectangle lights that would be great. Just want to see if I'd really like it as much as I think

PIAAs are my choice. A little more expensive but you get what you pay for. PIAA stands behind their products and they sure shoot out a lot of light!

this depends upon the type of bulb in the 55 watt lights you are looking at. if they are the same type EG: H4 to H4 or what have not, then it could physically be changed.
Now the question remains, can the wiring circuits handle the power difference? can the houseing handle the heat? for a short period of time I would say probably yes to both questions, but for long periods of time it would probably over heat the relays, and or fuses and blow one or the other.
If you upgrade the wireing and the fuses/relays that would take care of the electrical safety issues, but whatabout the heating of the houseing?
For this I can say that only empirical testing will tell, IOW you have to take a chance and be the test mule.....
