Default Off Road Lights

So I am about to get my Hella 500ff driving and fog off road lights and get them on my truck so I was wondering if anyone knows if it is legal or not to drive on the main and public roads with them ON?

Depends on what state you live in. Some have laws on how many lights can be on at once, how high off the ground extra lights are and so on. Look up your state laws on the net.

Do you really need to use that much light on the public roads, are you going to turn them off everytime you have on coming traffic or are you just going to use them to blind people?

no. i got pulled over for it. headlights and one other set of lights at a time. i think every state is different though. my ticket was
$200. kinda stupid for a light violation but it was my fault. i use mine when im driving out in the country where there aint any street lights but once i get into town they dont come on.

I was just wondering. The only time I'm going to use all 4 is when I'm off road or we have fog. But I will take the chance and use the driving lights because I go to school at 6:30 every morning and it is still pitch black here and there is no street lights on any of the roads to school also when I get off work it is pitch black and again no street lights.

I can't see your location, but I can tell that in Florida it is legal to have 4 lights on at 1 time. Like 2 headlights, 2 fog lights. 2 heads, 2 driving lights, etc. Just know that your high beams count as all 4 legally. I think that's why no cars have fogs on with high beams.

Once again, Florida law

I use mine, I just turn it off when traffic is coming. I only use em in the country, where traffic is scarce. They are mainly for looks, or driving trails at the river.

as long as youre turning the lights off when you have oncoming traffic, i dont see a problem with them.
