The only true "absolute lift" is tires. The difference will be Break Over Angle and Wheel Travel. The silver truck will have the better of both worlds....and his pocketbook will have more "lift".


Most of the time you want the least amount of lift to fit the tallest tire you want without any fitment issues. Another good rule of thumb isf or every two inches of lift you want 1 inch of added track width...for stability. Now once you go RockCrawling, you have entered another zone all together.

heres 3" with 35s achieved by a 3" leveling kit and AAl. Then, 6" with 35s by adding a BL. then i couldnt resist going to 9" on 37s
