if it were me... i'd try it without re-gearing. your first gear is pretty low with the 6speeds and if you never end up in 6th because your rpms at cruising speeds are the same in 5th as they would be in 6th with stock sized tires, who cares right?

I don't think you'll see much mpg difference with the 6speed. maybe some drop city wise and maybe if you're lucky some increase on the highway (effectively lowering the gearing)

If it's a 4.6L with a 6.5 lift trying to turn 35s Your ganna lose more than 1-2 Mpgs. Not to mention the power loss

I imagine the 6 speed makes it a litter better, from what I've heard at least, but I do know since 04, they're not exactly powerhouses lol. 3:73s Will help fuel mileage loss a bit I guess, but it's ganna make that truck a dog power wise

That's what I'm afraid of. My last truck was a 99 f250. I was trying to gain some of the height back.

So it's mostly the tires causing the power issue? I have 30.1 or 30.9 inch tires on my truck I found out. Would a 4.5 inch or 6.5 lift plus 33inch tires cause a similar power issue?

Well width/weight of tire/gear ratios. And the extra wind resistance from being lifted won't help either. I'm sure it's fine with 35s, my point was don't be expecting no beast or anything lol
