Default Need help with 2wd

Ok guys I have a 99 extended cab 4x2 lariat and am thinking about putting a posi/locker or limited slip in the rear to give me a little help when I'm hitting the trails. However the truck will see 99% driving on the street so what would be my best options for the rear. I don't want to be going through tires all the time.

Thanks, Bill

Just get a factory limited slip.

I agree with TheJMC, a factory 8.8 posi will give you what you need. If you are looking for aftermarket posi, there are a few other options that would work, Eaton Carbon Fiber Clutch LSD, Eaton-Detroit TruTrac (worm gear posi) and Yukon makes a verson of the Eaton LSD called the Duragrip.
