Old thread I'm responding to, I know.
I haven't been but I heard Jennings Forest has some trails. Here's the google map:

And some info and pics:

Like I said, I haven't been and I'm not saying it's legal. If anyone goes, post some pics!

Hi Shmeegs, welcome to the forum. I might head out to Jennings tomorrow which isn't too far from you. I read on a website it's legal, but I'll have to see when I get there. If you want something real aggressive there's a paid park off of 301 just south of baldwin. It's a bit of a drive, but 100% legal.

The closest good place to Saint Augustine/Jacksonville is Osceola National Forest. Or is it a state forest? But if there has been a lot of rain it can be dangerous. There are a couple of holes in trails that are 6' deep! If they are full you can't tell them from regular wet spots.

Thanks Fulltimer, I'll have to check that out. With this weather we are gettin today those trails should be getting pretty wet!

Just be sure to have another vehicle going along. Never go off roading alone. It could be a long walk out if something brakes.
