i think if this was to happen to me i would just make an insurance claim to somehow have it written off....be it burning it, putting it back in the water, whatever.
just call it in stolen.
its never going to be the same and the interior will be garbage as well.
stick it with the pile from new orleans

Damn, wrecked a nice truck. Your cylinders are filled with water, and water is a lot harder to compress that air. Pretty much totaled unless you want to rebuild the whole engine and most of the electrical and mechanical.

Liquids do not compress&if you attempted to start your truck submerged, you could have done damage.its called liquid lock.If youre lucky to have no damage to the engine, then ALL the fluid must be changed.oil, tranny, rear&front diffs, xfer case fluids.Like someone else said on this post, remove the plugs&hopefully all the water will drain.Good luck...Pete

depending on how bad, you might be able to start it with new fluids and pulling the plugs, to get water out of the cylinders. or you possibly have bent valves, bent connecting rods etc. and you will most likely need a new comp too.. i would have insurance total it and buy a new one
