Mild off road essentials kit

Mild off road essentials kit
So I'm getting into offroading more and more little by little. Currently in Hawaii on Oahu so there is no middle of nowhere. What are some essential items I should pick up at a local offroading store? I would either be out by myself or with a buddy. For reference I had a mild lifted 13 FX4 but traded it for a stock(right now) 14 Raptor.

Comes in handy every once in a while.
Forgot to add a good ax. (Or Chainsaw) Sometimes trees keep finding the trail a good place to lay down.

A cooler with a few water bottles and other beverages and a cell phone.
I got stranded in the woods on my ATV once where I could have easily been rescued because I didn't bring my cell phone. I now never go anywhere without it.

-Tire deflators and a portable compressor
-CB
-Tow Strap rated 1.5x the vehicle weight
-Tool bag with standard and metric tools. Especially any that are unique to your vehicle
-Jack capable of lifting the vehicle. A HighLift is a great option
-GPS or current maps
-Cell phone
-Spare tire!
Those are a (my) minimum. You can always add to the list as you progress in the sport.

In the winter/fall months, i agree with everything said, however i also opt to bring a blanket and pillow. Sucks to be stranded in a snow bank in mid december. Id rather not use my entire tank of gas idling waiting for a tow.
Im also putting together a emergency response kit from gear left over from my last station (military) so far it includes 2 1000ml bags of salin +iv's, 2 needle decompression kits, a chest seal, burn dressing, poncho, solar blanket, chem lights (aka glow sticks) and parachute cord.
In my opinion, part of being able to tow someone out of a ditch or embankment is also being able to treat injuries they may have due to the accident.
a bag of sand or kitty litter is seldom seen, but can be usefull as well. if your spinning in snow (not sure about mud) put it under your tires.
