Default Midwest Truck Camping

Looking for some advice (and pictures) of spots to do some "back country" or "disbursed" camping with the F150. I don't want to pull up to a designated site and camp next to other people. I want to do some offroading to find the perfect spot and set-up shop for a weekend.

aaaaaand go!

PS I'm in the suburbs of Illinois, so IL/IN/WI/KY/MI/IA/TN are all solid areas to drop a recommendation from.

Not too sure you'll find much in Il.

Willing to wander down to NC? Go camping on the beaches at Cape Lookout. Great spot.
