Default Looking for affordable tires!

So I have 17 inch rims from the factory on my 2005 f150 2wd. Problem im having is finding an affordable tire that fits on this rim. It seems the tires i can afford are for the 15 inch rim. Why are those so much cheaper? Anyways some nice aggressive tread is what i have been looking for, thanks for any help!

BFG All Terrains are a good choice, they are about $250-$280 for a 305/65/17, nice aggressive tread look, but still do great on the highway and have little road noise.

Biggest piece of advice is that you get what you pay for. You can get just regular tires for cheap, those are about 35" tires. It just depends on what you want...

Actually i have a thought, what do ya all think about getting a used set of big tires and rims and swapping out whenever I go mudding. That way i keep my mileage and i can get cheap tires and not worry about them being unsafe on the highway or anything?

You said you had a 2wd, so the extent of mudding may be kinda limited. You could definitely do that, its just a pain to switch tires every time... if its just a once in awhile thing then that might be your best option.

cheap, tough tires are goodyear wranglers. ive got a set of 31" wrangler TDs that have lasted me over 50k and have quite a bit of tread left. look into goodyears. or firestone destinations

I've got the Cooper Zeon LTZs and love them. The pricing on these tires is very competitive.

I pulled this pricing from Tread Depot.

LT265/70R17 ZEON LTZ $171.00
