Default Lifts for dummies

I'm looking around for a 6-inch lift for my rig... yet there's such a large price range and they all look the same.

who's got what and who's got opinions for the best lift under 2grand?

plus i'd like to see pics if anyones got 'em for a six inch procomp stage 1?

thanks guys

Pro Comp stage 1 coming at ya

Pro Comp stage 1 uses a 6 inch spacer on top of your OEM shocks up front as opposed to other companies that use bigger shocks or coilovers. They also use blocks in the rear instead of add a leafs or leaf packs. On the bright side its cheaper and has handles everything I have thrown at it.

I got the Skyjacker 6", bigger strut in the front and leaf springs in the back got it at 1700. Had it installed by ford for free and they let me keep my factory suspension warranty and backed up everything (if it broke). Pic is in my profile.

I did my best to do as much as possible in the driveway but if you dont have air tools you are kind of screwed. I got the back finished but the front was almost impossible by hand. I had it towed to my 4wheelparts and we finished it there. I also plan on putting bigger struts and add a leafs for a little more clearance. My kit cost me $1300 a little over a year ago and I didnt pay for install.

I had the Pro comp stage 1 kit. Very good lift. I would say go with them. They have a great reputation and build strong parts. I currently upgraded to the Stage 2 (Coilovers in the front) and its even better for under 2G's go with the stage 1. The block on the back with some MX 6's are an amazing ride. Good luck with it.

Yea they also give you instructions so its not that hard to figure out if your somewhat mechanically inclined. Its just time consuming
