LIFTKIT/TIRES HELP! etc
hey guys, I just got a 1994 XL 2wd, Its my first truck and I want to put the rough country 4in lift on it with some 33in tires. What are the cheapest tires, I can run? its a street truck. Can I mount them on the stock wheels safely? Do i need to regear? What about an alignment? what do you think it will cost for the alignment.
Thanks, any thing will help

Man, I wouldn't put a lift on a 2WD to start with. Wasting money. Get you a 4x4 or convert that one. For what you will spend on all those modifications, you could maybe find a wrecked F-150 4x4 and take the transfer case and front end and make it work on yours. Just a thought.

This guy could help you out ALOT because he has the same truck that you have. He has a rough country 4 inch lift on his 94 F-150 2wd. https://www.f150forum.com/members/conman365-25469/
And for the gear ratio: Look on the inside of the driver side door jam. There will be a white sticker with the factory tire size, vin number, etc. Look for "axle" and get the axle number. Then let us know what the axle code for your truck is. We'll be able to look it up and tell you what kind of gears you have in your truck. You may not even need to do a gear swap if you have gears sufficient enough to pull 33's around. I have a 96 F150 4x4 300 6, 3 inch lift, 33x12.50 mudders, with 3.55 gears, and I get around good!

Don"t lift a 2wd vehicle bit if u must, the price difference between the 4'' rough country and the 6'' rough country is only like $100. topguncustomz.com Put the cash down and get a the 6''. Look for some tires on craigslist.
