Default Lift time.. I want 8 inches!

Setting tires aside.. I was thinking of the rough country kit. Any heads up on what Im going to come across? I may have it professionally installed. Im new to this so any help is appreciated.

I want to get a programmer to get rid of the dammed tranction control after 35 mph. Any tips on the whole lift itself?

2010 f150 4.6 xtl. 4x4 auto.

Rize makes the only true 8inch full lift kit. Its an extremely nice kit a little on the expensive side though. It will keep all the geometry where it needs to be unlike getting a 6inch lift and putting a 2 inch spacer on it. Full throttle makes an 8inch kit as well but thats super expensive and I've not a fan of how the spacers they use are. What size tire are you trying to fit?

Well I know the tires I have are not that big..

I recently bought some nitto terra grapplers. 285 60 18. So I guess an 8 inch would be overdoing it. Is 6 inches alot for that tire? I paid 1000 dllrs for these tires a few months back, around 4 months to be exact.

Any tips? Im on stock 18 inch rim which I need one replaced.

That is a 31.5 inch tire....barely bigger than stock. If you put a 6" lift on with those tires, you'd look like a bear riding a tricycle......in my opinion. You could run those tires stock. If you want to give your truck a little better appearance, put on a 1.5-2" leveling kit.

I can't pull up the link right now but if you go to my build thread you will see what it looks like since I did mine in steps, first a Fabtech 6" lift with stock rims and bald 33" that measured to 31" lol. Then 6" lift with 35" tires and new rims. And lastly 6" lift with 2" spacer on front and 2" AAL in rear (total 8") with 35" tires.

The "typical" pairing of tire to lift ratio that most people do that looks proportionate is...
-Leveling kit with 33's or some stuff 35's
-4" suspension 35's
-6" suspension 35's or 37's
-8" suspension 37's
-9" of lift 37's or 38's
-10" of lift or more starts getting closer to 40's...

Haha, yea that would be a good idea. I have no idea how that works, I'm assuming a admin has to make that happen?

6" lift and stock 31's.

And just because I have them.....

33" (my winter tires)

And my 35" summer tires.

Thank you for perfectly illustrating my point! Now to the OP's original question.....if we could only find a pic of 31's on an 8" lift! Ha. That would be even funnier
