Alot of folks are switching from the Blisteins due to the rough ride.. I've never owned them, just read the reviews on here and other sites.. My 9000's are complaint free... And so is the Quicklift.. To each its own...

King Coilovers , then Bilstein 5100, then Rancho QuickLift, then Spacers.

They do similar things, either replacement shock is going to be an improvement over stock.

It really comes down to how you like your truck to ride. The Bilstein will definitely "stiffen" up the front. They will get rid of that bouncing Cadillac ride like the factory, keep the track flatter. They will perform much better offroad than most other shocks though.

The Rancho shocks are different, since they have adjustable dampening. This allows you to adjust the ride to exactly your comfort level.

I prefer the stiffer and more planted ride, but I know many others may find they like the softer ride. Also depends where you will be driving the truck most often.

Paved roads and highways 99% of the time. Maybe out into a field for some duck hunting in the winter, but I could drive a Ford Mustang through the fields I'm in half the time! The only time I need 4WD is in the snow, which I do get into a few times a year having family up in the Northeast. But basically, a good ride on the road is all I'm looking for. My modifications are mostly cosmetic, not functional, improvements. That's what marriage and two young kids will do for you...LOL!

Sounds to me like Ranchos are the way to go since they are adjustable in more ways. Too stiff, too lose...just adjust them. They are more expensive but if I don't mind paying more for that kind of flexibility, seems like that's a no brainer, no? Unless it ends up being the type of thing where they are constantly needing re-adjustment...

Some people are going on the highest level on the Bilsteins which is what causes the rough ride. The middle setting feels smooth as butter.

Agreed with Billy, I prefer a tighter - planted ride.

The adjustability of the Rancho shocks is a really cool feature though, mostly only found on sports car suspension systems. The MyRide controller is a pretty badass toy as well.

I don't have the ride control yet but will be upgrading to it soon...

As to the Op... Read the reviews... There are a few threads here in the 2009-2013 thread about Rancho Quicklift... And Also Blistein.... Giving the choice and bank account... There is no doubt that King Coilover or Fox Coilovers would definitely be the route to...
