Default Leveling kit or shocks?

Hi guys,
I am getting ready to replace the factory shocks on my 2012 FX4 Supercab. I will need new tires in the very near future as well and was thinking about leveling the truck while I'm at it. Most of the shocks I have found are adjustable. I don't know much about this type of thing and am wondering if I should get a leveling kit AND adjustable shocks or is it an either-or type of situation? I am looking at Bilstein 5100, or something similar (I'm open to input on that as well). Any help or advice you folks have would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Brian

I would stick to just a level until you decided to get more serious.
I have a 6in lift using my factory coils w/ 6in spacers, Ive even taken them offroad and they did ok.
hold off on buying nice coilovers and shocks until later when you know for a fact you wont be lifting it
hope my opinion helps

As much as I would like to lift the truck it's not exactly in my budget. I would like to go with a little bigger tire than stock and a level will allow me to do that. I do want to replace the shocks whether I level the truck or not since the ones I have now are garbage. Just from what I have seen from looking at shocks, it seems redundant to level the truck AND get shocks that will level the truck. Just looking for some clarification. Any advice on shock brands?

Thanks for your help!

I'm a King guy, but that's on the pricey side. Fabtechs "Dirt Logics" are well priced for the performance

Call Alex @ F150Lifts and order a set of Boss Coilovers and Boss Rear Shocks. Then order 33-34"s and be happy happy happy!
