Default Level trouble

I have a 2006 f150 stx 4x4 that I had 4 wheel parts put a 3 inch level spacer on (they assured me it wouldn't cause any damage) ... I showed them the tires and rims I wanted and asked what I needed to do to fit them ( 305/65/17 pro comp extrem at ) they said the spacer wouldn't cause damage to the front end and there shouldn't be any rubbing... There is some rubbing at full lock which I'm ok with but after only 5 months I had to replace the cv joint .. I was looking at the belistein 5100 adjustable shocks to replace the spacer but my question is are they really less stressful on the front end ? I have very little knowledge on suspension and any advice would be appreciated ..

and Anytime you change the geometry of the front end angles, parts will wear much more quickly. No matter the style of level kit, if you don't have a diff drop bracket, parts will have more strain on them and wear out.
