Except for 3 bayou crossings and one patch of soft sand, I really didn't even need the 4WD. But I kept it in 4WD just in case. No courage involved when you are properly set up for the beach drive.

The truck didn't even get very dirty. A quick hose down after the 15 mile beach run got most of the sand off. The retractable running boards are a PITA. They are like a vacuum cleaner and collect road dirt. Or maybe they are "dirt magnets".

So how did he do that? Did y'all dig four deep holes and drive the truck so the wheels fell into the holes?

I wish that was the case

haha well let's say he took it a little too slow and went out a little too deep towards the lake...

The frame was sitting on the mud and it took two tractors to get it out

Default Driving along the waterfront

Proper preparation and attention to the surface condition are important when driving along the waterfront or you could end up like this unfortunate driver.

This is taken from the Padre Island National Seashore magazine. I was not there and don't know anything more about it than what you see here.

I only post it as a note of caution.

Hey guys, bored silly at work and just went through all 51 pages. Pretty sweet trucks you guys are running. I am presently trying to decide on the model year of my next truck. I am basing that decision on quite a few factors, but liftability and effective/achievable ground clearance will be a big part of it. Anyway...Hope you guys don't mind video's

couple pictures from before and after:

Nothing exciting with this one. I am usually alone and don't think of taking pictures while I am actually going through anything exciting.
