Punctured my tire with a rock. Luckily I found some solid ground to swap the tire.

Na, I want to go try the Badlands but that is just over 4 hours away so hard to justify the day trip. This was next to Starved Rock State Park in IL, and was called The Cliffs Insane Terrain.

Again, it would be terribly fun with a dedicated off road vehicle, but not an ideal location for my truck.

Yeah, dude. I want to try The Cliffs. It is about 2.5 hours away from my house, but I can't justify the $39 to just mess around in the front of the park.

Gotcha. I was wondering if it was Cliffs or not but I've heard that park is not ideal for stock trucks, so it was interesting to hear that it actually did okay on some of the parts there.

Had I gone later in the summer I might have been able to make it farther down their trails. But in the spring they said they don't bother to fill in the ruts the big guys dig because the rain will just come and wash half of it away a few days later.

Even just playing in the entrance area, there were plenty of spots that would get me stuck, or where I would damage bumpers or floor boards.

Now I am just biding my time for a summer vacation and hopefully I can make it to the rocky mountains to find some reasonable forest service roads to wander on. Just playing in the dirt is fun, but I want the challenge of getting to a scenic overlook that normal vehicles cannot get to.

How'd you manage after putting that small spare on there?

Luckily I was about half a mile from the paved road. Never thought of getting a full size spare until then!

Yeah P Metric.. I don't recommend them if you're going to do any sort of off-roading. Have another few thousand miles left on them and I'll be switching them out for some 35" KO2's.

Yeah that's why I stopped running them.. Ran LTs all my life until this one set. 5k miles in I already destroyed 2 and got 2 flats. Never had any problems with any other tires in my life. Back to 33" load E now.
