Default Late model offroading....???

So i just took my 2010 offroad on the farm for the first time a couple weeks ago, and the traction control feature is VERY limiting!!! I pushed the button, that takes it off, but, it still retards the power when spinning.... Anybody have experience with this????

If you hold it down for like 3-5 seconds it will completely shut it off until you reach 25+mph at which time it will turn back on until you are under 25mph again.

Ok great, thanks, good option. Just still not great set up if doing open muddy off roading... no way to disable it all together?

Unfortunately no, but you can read more on it in your manual as well.

My 2010 has the same issue in the sand, but I just put it into 4x4 low to take it off, or I pull the **** to lock the differential. I can't speak for mud though.

Below is a link to a thread about disabling the entire traction control system via an installed switch....esentially all u need to do is remove 1 fuse and the entire TCS is shut off, the switch is installed in cab so that u dnt need to manually get out open the hood and pull the fuse, instead u flip a switch and "tada"...at least i think that was the idea....thread was pretty helpful

There are many threads on this, but there are 2 things going on here. TCS (traction control) and SCS (Stability control). If you tap the button, it will turn off the traction control only, stays off no matter what the speed, but stability will still turn on at any speed. Holding the button down 5 seconds will disable the traction control completely and stability control up to 35mph (I believe the previously mentioned 25mph is incorrect). Unless your planning on drifting the truck, this isn't really a problem. For this reason though, there is a switch in the Raptor that disables everything at any speed. Hope this helps.

SCT = superchips custom tuning, it's a power programmer like Edge, Bully Dog, Diablo, ect.
