Default IFS suspension beef up

I've searched through a few threads and articles on this but none of them have
really given me an answer.
They've mentioned ford having a bunch of aftermarket parts but how do I now
know which of these parts should be swapped ?

Please can anyone here help me get a straight answer ?

Ps: truck will be used for heavy towing and heavy offroading.
I'd like to keep the lift to a max. of 3''

It really comes down on what you want to do.

It looks like you mentioned off roading so just from that you will need new suspension, wheels, tires and possibly glass to fit bigger tires.

What is your budget?

No budget. As of now I'm only making a list of the things I'll need before going into this endeavor. When I have the truck, I'll know before hand what to buy and that's how I'll slowly build the truck to how I want it.

I'll be using it for towing boats of around 5K to 6.5K lbs and I'll offroad with
it twice a month or so. I'll need height of course and I think a lift between
2.5 and 3 inch will be enough.

The lift I found for sale (2.5'' RC lift) only included a set of shocks and spacers.
This is why I'd like to know what parts of the whole suspension I'll have to beef up.

There are many kind of suspension components to change depending on what you are using the truck for.

To just level it out, you can go with spacers, coilovers, upper control arms etc...

If you are going to use the truck to offroad, you will need to change the Upper and lower arms, get some coilovers etc...just so you have more wheel travel.

You could also look at Dirt Logic, King, Fox, Icon, F150Lifts and other coilover kits that will give you 2.5 to 3" of lift. Changing the upper and lower control arms are a good idea to beef it up, but it's not 100% necessary (without a budget I'd definitely do it).

click the MT/LT tech thread in my signature

if you are looking at parts for a '15, the logic is the same but 04-13 parts won't fit. you'll have to find a vendor for 15 & up goodies.

I think Bajakits / Brenthel is the only company with a MT/LT kit for the 2015?

I wasn't necessarily steering him towards MT/LT - I go over Uniball uppers, coilover 'lifts' etc... in the thread as well. Figured it would be a good starting point knowledge wise. I think ADD has a 2015 MT kit as well (Raptor spec).
