A lot of the 4x4 guys that I know who mud don't web bother to turn on 4x4 unles there in serious ****. I've gone thru stuff I never thought I would make it thru and been thru stuff 4x4s have barely made it thru. It's all about the drive the tires and knowing what u can and canot do.

Not being cocky just telling it like it is. I own a 2000 f150 2wd and that thing would not even imagine going half the places my 4x4 can. I drove a 2wd for years and have also made it through a lot of crazy stuff but I could go father and not have to hammer through it with my 4x4 just sayin. I know what I'm talking about I've owned both !

Anyways. I put I lunchbox locker on my 88, its a PowerTrax LockRight. Not too bad on road for a full time locker, but holy crap, off road is such a bigger difference. The truck is actually 2 - wheel - drive now. Lol. Its like you just grip up so good, its weird. But once I get wrapped up with my 4x4 swap I shouldn't have any problems, cause there's a locker up front too :p

I take it s lunchbox locker is the same as a Lincoln locker huh? Some hold up well some do not lol. I've welded up a few and some hold perfect others well... Explode! Lol

Never heard of Lincoln lockers, but yeah, some people say the lunch boxes don't hold up too well. Good thing is, I only paid $300 for the front diff and suspension, tranny, and transfercase, and the rear end all together. Then the guy came back to me and told me he found some paperwork on the axles in the bronco I pulled them out of on his junkyard. Over $700 billed on the axles alone. So I'll enjoy the lockers while they work. Haha.

Do you have a selectable locker in the front? Or at least manual hubs? My buddy welded up the front of his chevy and boy it has a stupidly big turning radius! Had to unlock a hub just so it will turn lol but nothing like lockers front and rear!

So do I, i have an isuzu with front and rear lockers and it gets stuck everywhere. For some wierd reason, this 2wd i have goes through anything i put it through. Its really suprised the hell out of me!! Ive been pay to play to mud holes with both my vehicles and i have to say the 2wd truck has outperformed the isuzu by far time after time. And I dont just stomp it like some 2wd guys do. I creep just like any 4x4. Idk what is, maybe a combination of good tires/driving skills/good luck, but i seriously have never seen a 2wd perform like this, it never ceases to amaze me.

Have been stuck once though, but i had no lift or level, 235/35R16 worn out bfg long trail street tires, in a clay pit with deep enough water to cover up my fender wells and leak in the cab. Needless to say it was stuck realllll good haha
