Default HELP. new to off-roading

I am starting to get into off-roading and I drive an 86 F-150, right now it is stock. I bought 35” Mickey Thompson baja claws for it. I am wondering if a 4” suspension lift would work with them. Or would it be better if I just went with the 6” lift?

you should be fine running a 4" suspension lift, or you could run a 6" lift either one works and both look good, you will have more room to flex with the 6" but the 4" will do the job pretty well. it's all preference. google your generation truck lifted and see what looks best to you.

Personally I would go with 6. You could get away with 4...but best to go 6 imo for 35's. I always thought 33's were best for the 4. But again this is all my opinion.

And from your name I'm guessin your from pa. What part?

The other thing that will make a big difference in whether you should go 4" or 6" is the type of wheeling you are doing. I do mud with a 4" and 35's on my 93. The fender openings are the same size as yours. The first pic is of my truck when it had 33X10.50's on the stock rims. The second is of it with 35X12.50's on 10" wide rims. For the 35's you will have to trim up or space out your stock bumper. Also you could get more clearance by way of trimming fenders, pre-runner style fenders, etc. Hope this helps some.
