Help me lift my f 150
Hey guys. I'm new to this site. Back in September I bought my first truck! 2015 lariat f-150 fully loaded super crew with 6.5 foot bed and 20 inch wheels and Fx4 package. So far this truck has been the best decision I ever made. I absolutely love it!
Eventually I want to do a very modest lift and level with some mud tires on it so I've been researching my options. Since it has the 20 inch rims, it seems like I would most likely have to increase tire diameter for a good mud tire. I would be perfectly happy to do that for the extra clearance, but some stuff I've read says that it can place extra stress on the engine and transmission possibly shortening it's life span. I'm thinking maybe a 35 inch tire. Right now the stock wheels are 275/55r20. Also does increasing tire size void the warranty?
My second question, related to the above, is that I want to do a small level kit with maybe a 2 inch lift. I've read that anything above 3 inches stresses the suspension components. Is a 2 inch lift with bigger tires ok? With all of the options with lifting the truck, what is the best way to do it? I want to make sure my mods are done correctly as to not damage anything in the long run. And again, do any of these changes void the warranty?
Thanks in advance for all the help. This forum has been great so far!

You will not be able to fit 35" tires on a 2" level. You will need to run at least a 4-6" lift.
Lifting and Leveling are 2 different things and the components are different.
Do you have a budget in mind? There are a lot of different route to go.

No I don't really have a budget in mind. Just getting ideas right now. My main question is are any of these modifications hard on the engine or suspension or anything else on the truck. What should I avoid? I've read some stuff that say lifting can void a warranty because of the potential damage. The vehicle was designed for the certain tire size and not generally recommended going above that. I want my truck to make it to the 300k mark.
If a 35 inch tire won't fit, what would you recommend with a 2 inch lift?

With a 2" LEVEL, you could easily run a 285/55-20 (11.2 x 32.3")
or probably a 295/60-20 (11.6 x 33.9") assuming it doesn't rub the upper arms.
To run a 12.50 x 35" tire you'll definitely need a 4" LIFT.
