Good recovery strap
#11
I highly recommend the snap straps for pulling trucks out. We use 3" nylon straps for lifting trees, and they are also the same design as most recovery straps. They are extremely durable, but are more harsh on vehicles with the jerking motions. Snap straps help to absorb force and actually amplify it.
If you are looking for a good snap strap, I guarantee you will not be let down by Bubbarope. A little expensive, but awesome stuff. I've pulled out some heavy sh*t with it and still has held up.

Yeah I saw those and they are hella expensive but badass. I also saw those ARB recovery straps but the y seem like more of a ****** strap it says it has a 20% flex rating

Amsteel Blue sells a nice ****** rope for way less than what Bubba Rope wants for theirs:

I don't have one personally, but I know people who have used them.
It really all depends on what you're going to be using it for. Personally, I just have that 3"x30' Smittybilt strap in my truck. For pulling, it is more than sufficient and if it's not good enough that's what the winch is for. If you're going to be doing much snatching though, the more expensive ****** ropes would be a good investment.

Find a supplier that sells rigging and strapping for big trucks and the like. I Bought a tow strap that was pull tested to 45,000lbs for $40. I use it here at work to tug stuck forklifts and skidsteers. Never use a chain to tug anything out. We are not allowed to use them at work because a summer student working at one of our competitors used a chain, it broke and killed him. Tow straps are designed to be tugged on and are proven safe. And they are less damaging to both the tow vehicle, and the vehicle being towed.

Yeesh! The very day I made my post above I had to use my tow strap twice to free our 14,400lb Hyster forklift. The mild weather helped polish the ice and the tire chains on the forklift just were not enough to keep her moving.
