For a DD or for a truck you are going to drive a lot on the street too, I would say the Nitto Trail Grapplers or M/Ts, but if your truck is more of a weekend warrior I think you could do better. Swampers are king.

All of these tires that people keep listing are street mud tires. Boggers are specifically built just to run in the mud and thats why people do it. If they're going on something that you're not going to drive for long distances get boggers or super swamper tsls/ltbs. Ltb's are just a newer design of the tsl. These three tires will let you go in 2wd where anyone with mud grapplers or toyos go in 4wd.
oh and the lugs on boggers are more spaced out than any other mud terrain.
mud grapplers stuck
toyo's on my truck stuck
and Boggers on my samurai

Doesn't super swampers come in 2 types like a bi plyis tire and another type? A diesel mechanic at work was saying that if I get super swampers not to get the bi plyis because they'll beat u to death and get the radial ....what's the difference in the 2?

lol well yeah. yeah bias ply tires are alot softer than radials so they do better offroad. they only make boggers in bias ply but they do make tsls in radials. iroks do pretty good in mud aswell, thats whats on my truck now. the down side to bias ply tires is they flat spot and wear down a lot quicker. go to interco tire's website and look at their tires. anything but the thornbirds and truxis all terrians are good.

I live in louisiana where Swampers used to be manufactured. The guy I buy tires from designed the m16s and I was talking with him a few weeks ago because I wanted to put some tsl on my truck because I had them on my jeep a few years ago. He told me that it was a bad idea because Interco recently moved their factory to mexico to save money because they were struggling. He told me he doesn't even carry them anymore because they are poorly made now and lugs are flying off after 400 miles. As much as I really want a set on my fx4 I trust what he says. Jusy an fyi. I would hate for someone to spend a bunch of money on them and they crap out after a few weeks.

I have Toyo MTs and exact same pics of my truck as this one haha...
Daily Driver + weekend toy = Trail grapplers, mud grappler, Toyo MT, mickey-T MTZ, etc etc
Serious mudding = anything interco....boggers, then tsl, then irok/m16 is my order of operation on those.
any "street MT" need ALOT of wheel spin to keep the lugs clean and is only "good" to a certain point.
