How can u tell what's a good mud tire? I thought one rule was if the pattern is to close u don't get a good bite...
so what's a good tire for bite, self cleaning and durability?...I know nitto mud grapplers are awesome just because of what iv seen esp with a 4cyclinder yota..lol

Nitto trail grapplers are great mud tires. Awesome in mud and offroad conditions. Just as good on the road and in wet conditions.

i think these days one big thing that people leave out is price! UNless you are mudding professionally, spending 3-4k on tires, doesnt seem right for " best tire ever made" type of tires. BUt I know you get what you pay for, so good quality, price, durability, and of course the use you plan to use it for!

Save your money and go here: http://www.treadwright.com/default.aspx I have used a couple of different sets of their tires with great results. I probably know 20 people that run these tires. All are happy with them. Yes, they are recaps but they have a very good warranty and stand by their products.

I just put 35" Federal Courgia m/t's on my truck, I got them for $330 a piece which is a great deal for a mud terrain in that size and they work perfectly. Went mudding yesterday and didn't struggle what do ever. Here's a pic to give you an idea.

Ok, here's the deal. If you want a good mud tire buy some Toyo's. However, if you want a GREAT mud tire buy some Nitto Trail Grapplers. The best M/T money can buy.

PS: Don't even get me started on posting pictures. . .

Well the nittos are good but imo not the best, I guy I knew with an 06 f150,same lift, he was running 37' a I was running 37 super swamped m16, my 4wd went out, and he was having issues getting through thinks that I walked through with the m16's, I will never buy them after seeing that
