Default Gas mileage on my f150

I just bought a 06 f150 4 door 4x4 and I'm ganna put some 295/70/18 on it. Wondering what my gas mileage will look like? Also what gears come stock in this year? Not experienced in f150s. Needing some advise

You will have to check your door code to find out what you have for gears. Might be 3.55's, might be 3.73's. Not sure what else is out there, mine had 3.55's which I swapped out for 4.10's.

Your fuel mileage won't change a whole lot, I went with 315/75/16's on my last truck (34.6/12.50/19 in American sizing) and I lost about 1 mpg before the regear on stock 3.55's and lost my power down low.

A regear is going to run you $2000, it's not something you HAVE to have but if I was planning on keeping the truck and you know it's a good truck, it's something to look into for sure. Especially if you plan on doing any towing or anything like that. I went with 4.10's for mileage and the power felt pretty much stock again although some other guys run 4.56's for a little more down low.

Lost 4 mpg going from stock to 34's.

Weight diff per tire was 21lb. They are 1" taller. 3.55's suck for bigger tires
