Nonsense. That's only for new money folks. The rest of us from blueblood or simply good business ethics do our homework.

But this ole boy likes to save money on efficiency. However, some of the places I tend to go and the way I use my vehicle require the occasional ability to tow and haul stuff.

Are these numbers you all are reporting accounting for the speedometers being off 10-15% due to the different tire size?

I guess one of the reason I get 17 mpg wth 37s, is I dont have a supension that adds about 250pounds to the total weight? Maybe the 5.4 wth 3.73 dont have to work as hard

i check at each fill up and it will be anywhere from 14-15.1 and thats with 35's and 6 inches of lift. also depends on what kind of driving im doing. thats typically a combo of city/hwy/dirt roads

The reason vehicles get much less gas mileage is friction and weight. Two main sources of friction are wind and road-tire surface. Obvious, I know, but I was wondering how to reduce that friction to increase MPG.
