Default FX4 Vs Sport

I always looked but couldnt find the answers to what the difference is between the FX4 and Sport? I currently have a 2014 FX4 and always loved the appearance of the sport but other than appearance what's the difference?

What model year are you talking about? A friend of mine has a '15 Sport. It has the 2.7 EB engine and is a 2wd.

If I'm not mistaken, the Sport model is one notch down from an FX2, also having chrome stuff instead of PTM.

I have the 5.0 V8. I didn't know if the sport was one up on the FX4 or below.

I have a 2016 FX4 Sport
FX4 is the offroad package (so a 4x4 with a sticker on the bed side)
Sport is black interior (i believe) , center console and PTM (no chrome)

No such thing as an FX2 for 2015 and up.
Sport as said in my other post is PTM bumpers and black interior (i beleive) and center console.

What year truck are you asking about? (Answer will differ for different years)

With a 14, the FX4 was was a trim level. A "sport" could refer to either an FX2 or an STX. The FX2 was the FX4s 2wd counterpart. Very similar in appearance and available options. The STX was between an XL and XLT, had much more limited options, but did have ptm parts instead of chrome.

For a 2015+, the FX4 went back to being an offroad package instead of a trim level (4x4, better than standard gearing, e-locker, skid plates, and I'm sure some other features). The sport package replaces chrome with ptm and is styled more like the previous FX4. The rest of the options on the truck will depend on the the actual trim level and other packages.

That makes sense I should of been more specific about the years but you explained it perfectly. I had an XTR before I got this FX4 and for it being the "off road package" is sure did sit lower than the XTR.

GORGEOUS TRUCK. 😲 My FX4 has the black interior not with the red like the sport but also has the center console with the shifter. Maybe it was an add on because not every sport or FX4 carries the shifter in the center. Sure do love it a lot better with it in the center though. I have the tow mirror but not the big boys like yours. Plan on it though lol

I know very little about the '15+. That's why I asked what year your truck was.

My friend's '15 "Sport" does not have black interior. It does not have PTM grille. It is white, if that makes a difference. I does have an enormous center console though.
