Default Frone Axle Help

I have an 82 f-150 2wd that I want to make 4wd with a straight axle. I need help!!! I also have a few other questions about a 460 build for it and what trans to use. I have a bog warner T-18 4 speed in it now. Was thinking about a C6. Any ideas well be put to good use and appreciated.

I would say this would depend on what size tire you want to run, what you plan on doing with the truck, and how you drive it.. You can find full width Dana 44s cheaper than you can find full width dana 60s. However now that I'm thinking about it with a 460 you probably just want to skip to the Dana 60. Also, what transfer case were you thinking of using?

I was thinking about a 205np transfer case. I drive the truck back and forth to work when the weather won't let me ride my bike. I want to have a reliable 4x4 that can handle some sirius trails. As for tires, I was thinking somewhere around th 35x12.5 range. Still a bit undecided.

Could prolly find some superduty axles for a fair price they will hold up to just about anything you throw at em with a 38 or smaller tire and a 460 (Dana 60 front and rear)

How would I hook them up? It's 2wd now but being an 82, it never had a straight axle on it.

You have a lot of research to do my friend. FSB and pirate4x4 is where I would start.
