That's one of my top things to do. The wheels and tires are first, then powdercoat the suspension, then bedsides. It'll look more proportional when its all done.

if your going to actually use the long travel i would remove the bed, build a cage and mount the fiberglass bedsides to the cage, that way you can have more useable travel in the rear. the way it is right now the rear is going to limit what you can do. It's still a badass truck either way.

All I have to do is a simple bedcage with deaver unders and a two piece drive shaft to pull 18/20. The bed doesn't really need to come off to use all the travel needed. A basic bedcage can retain the same travel.

I think the inner part of the bedsides is going to stop you from getting that far. also check to see if the 04-08 model has metal bedsides, on my 03 supercrew they dont have metal bedsides. check out this link it might help you

With fiberglass bedsides with a 4.5 inch flare and a 3 inch rise it'll be minimal rubbing. With spring under and a 2 piece driveshaft and notching of the frame for an extra 5 inch up travel it'll hit just under 19 inches.

Put some 37" BFG's and 17" Moto Metal wheels. (robby gordons will put on as soon as I sell my original set. I got the Line-X done, and hope to bring the front suspension in for powder coating when I can find time. Then bedsides with a tubular rear bumper.

dont forget a full size spare, if you put a smaller tire on the rear you will tear up your rearend. you can always have someone make you a holder that saves most of the bed, i know there are plenty of quality fab shops in vegas

believe me.... that was my first thing to do. I have a full size brand new spare in the garage with matching wheels. Prettiest thing I've ever seen that cost me $500 and i might never use it.
