I'm actually in the process of possibly getting a set of Fiberwerx right now.
Any thoughts about an inner fender? Does everything stay clean/dry enough that it wont mess it up?
I'd like to try to adapt the stock inner fender(or find something that fits) to at least cover the frame to metal section behind the top of the shock.

Umm...dry? Lol no. I go off roadin and muddin and **** gets everywhere. That's exactly what I'm workin on right now is to try and find something to cover up my engine. I put the old one in there and its so far off its gonna be hard to try and make something. So I'm lookin into a fab shop to bend me some thin steel to custom make some inner fender wells. Let me know if u figure out somethin else

haha thats why I said dry/clean ENOUGH.
I was thinking about something like a big rig mud flap or some thick rubber going(maybe body lift gap guards?) from the exposed inner fender down to the frame rail. Use some self tapping screws for the metal of the fender and maybe zip ties around the frame. That way if it gets stretched or hit too hard it'd just snap the zip ties instead of ripping the screws outa the fenders. If its stiff enough you could leave a 2" gap like the factory plastic inner fender and not worry about any contact or stretching.
The metal would look good but would be expensive and loud when rocks and debris and such hit it. You'd have to coat it with line-x to help out.
Ill probably have the fenders soon and will be mounting them in about a month so Ill come back when I get around to it.
