Default Lifts and alignment

How often do you need to alignments with either lift or levelling ?? Last year I put a rancho coilerover on my truck and new 35" AT2 EXTREMES. The edges got rounded from alignment being out.. Not happy bout it. Any you guys out there with some experience with respect to your own vehicle and this issue. And, does your alignment go out more with the lift/leveling kits?

if you bounce around offroad there is a good chance your alignment could go out over time a bit. Make sure you take your truck to a reputable shop, when i got my first set of larger tires I took them to a alignment shop that basically only does cars, and they wore out really quick. I just got a new set and took them to an alignment place that my local offroad shop suggested, and the guy took about an hour to align the truck while I watched where as the last alignment took about 10 minutes.

Alignment and suspension work have been my specialty for over 30 years and anytime you change components it's always a good idea to get it checked/adjusted but there is no set interval, you can't knock a front end out of alignment but you can bend or break a suspension component that will require replacement.

Bushings wear out, ball joints wear out, alignments do not!

My experience has always been set the toe and let it go as that is the biggest cause of tire wear, camber yes if it's extreme enough, caster no.

With that said if you hit a boulder or pothole and find your steering wheel suddenly not straight, you bent something and it will require replacement which should be followed by an alignment.
