^^^ yep ^^^
also depends on which UNI you pick. Differs across brands and size - RPG 1.5" uni requires the use of an aftermarket wheel but the 1" version will clear factory wheels. MOST folks will never exceed the capability of the 1" UNI so don't feel like you have to 'limit' your wheel options based on the size of the UNI. Too much offset and the tires won't clear the fender, so you are looking for the 'sweet spot'.
Think of it this way - from a capability perspective, a uni upper with an aftermarket coilover is a huge improvement over stock. From a wheel/tire fitment perspective, running a uni upper (1") with an aftermarket coilover (with a tad of preload) is essentially the same as running a leveling kit. Ergo, see what wheels fit with 2inch leveling kits and as long as you stick with a 1" uni, those wheels should fit your setup also - or just do the measurements, or ask the guys with the same setup what offset they run - lost of ways to skin this particular cat.

i have a set of 17" fuel octane wheels with 32.5 bfg all terrain right now, i looked on the website, and know my offset isn't negative, so i believe it to be around 14....if i ran 35's with these rims would i get the 1" or 1.5 inch uni? Also do you think this offset would allow clearance with 35's? Would i see better performance out of the suspension on and off road with the smaller tires, or would 35's preform around the same?
Sorry for all the questions and thanks for all the help that you guys have been giving me!!

For off road you want the largest tire you can run with the least amount of lift. You want clearance but don't want to be top heavy.

To be sure, install one of the wheels up front and see how much clearance you have. If its close (like the stockers) you'll need to stick with the 1" UNI.

talked to the guys down at 4wheel parts and they got excited to possibly work on my truck. Looks like camburg/icon UCA's and king shocks will run me about 3900 (ish), and in the future probably will bump it up to 35's with 4.56 regear but thats another 3500 to do just gears and the locking dif in the rear(go big or go home) + would have to get some tires going :/
all in all happy to have learned what i need to work towards, by the mid/end of the summer should have at least the suspension going
