Everyday driver lift question
Hello everyone I drive 500-600 miles every week for work. I am thinking of doing a 4" lift on my 2013 f150 Stx. I don't know much about kits yet or even how it would effect my mpg. Could I put 20" rims on a 4" lift. Just wanting to hear other people's opinions on driving that distance every week with a lift kit, would it be practical? Thanks in advance

You certainly can run 20" wheels. The bigger question is how much tire are you thinking about. With a 4" lift you can run up to a 12.50-35. With this size tire I'd anticipate a loss of 2-3 mpg. There's always a catch.......

Lift doesn't really affect your mpg...but the tires and rims do ha. I just did 20x12 rims and 35x12.50 tires and my mpg just went to 11mpg on mid grade fuel and 13-14mpg on 93 octane. Now I have the 3.5L eco and 3.55 gears.

Do you have a 2WD or 4WD?
We have a 4" lift spindle for the 2WD available.
Just like mentioned above, it's not the lift but the bigger tires that will affect your MPG. Our trucks aren't meant to compete with Prius's. Ha!
I would also recommend going with a lower gear ratio. Maybe a 4.10 or 4.56.

I have a 2016 F150 XLT FX4 I bought 2 months ago and we just did the RC 5 inch lift with 315/70/17 tires and i am basically down from 15 to 16 mpg in city to about 12 and down from about 20-21 to 16 mpg on the highway. I will be re-gearing the truck probably to 4.10 or 4.56 gears however i have not decided which way to go yet.
