Default Do I need 20" wheels??

Hey guys new here, I want a 4" Skyjacker suspension lift on a 2014 4x4 xlt. The guys who are doing the lift say I will need a minimum 20" wheel to fit that lift. I'm not sold on the larger wheel and just want to know if I'm being up sold or if it's needed to fit over the lifted knuckle? Can I keep the stock 18" wheel? Not interested in the increase in wheel and tire price if it's not needed.

Cheers, Ace.

Check skyjackers site... It will tell you the recommended wheel size...

My Rancho recommended 18" but I ran 22's with no issues... Backspacing and Offset will make or break you...

Wont work, forget the member's name with the 4" skyjacker but he tried to run stockers and they just wouldn't work because they wouldn't clear the knuckle

Dude. NEVER buy 20" rims for a 4x4. Ew.

If you have to, consider a different kit?

Detroit, sportster, and Mac, I agree with everything you guys say. I was looking around and from what I can tell most lifts of 4" or more utilize a new knuckle and that is what is larger in diameter. Unless I use a levelling kit and stretch it i don't think I could get the same height. I will keep looking though.

Cheers, Ace.
