I you are thinking of 33-35" tires I wouldn't re-gear... The power loss is minimal... Plus if you don't tow heavy, drive like a bat outta hell, mud often ect. then there is no need.. I think the main reason people re-gear is to take some of the strain off the transmission...

I towed a dump trailer EMPTY... Either thats a heavy *** trailer or I was in need of more power but i still managed to tow it with enough power that wouldnt make it a dangerous tow...
I'm looking at a few options.. 4.56 is one option and dropping the MT and going with a lighter AT...

Well, after driving around a few days with my new gears (went from 3.55 to 4.10), here is what I have to report...
1) Definitely got my truck's power back.
2) Overall driving experience is improved.
3) My speedo was off 10% low with 35s only, now is 10% high with new gearing and 35s.
4) Cannot comment much on gas mileage as yet, but it seems to have improved in around town driving.
In conclusion, its really hard to say whether it was a worthwhile investment or not. Maybe when I tow or get some more mileage readings I can better decide.

I run 35"s with 3.73s and an edge on trans tune. Not enough power loss to justify regearing . I don't tow often though
