Remember you have to account for the amount of force it takes to pull you out of the mud. You're curb weight is just over 2 tons, so I'd go with a 4-ton at the bare minimum.

If you do get stuck you will find that there is not much leverage on the handle of the come along. You will tire quickly. You will need some way to keep the vehicle from rolling back while you reset the come along. Bring shovels. If you have room, 4 2x6 boards to act as a ramp out of the mud or over an obstacle. You will need some means of attaching the come along to your vehicle and or a tree. A strap and schacles. If you use a recovery strap make sure it is not one that stretches. Be very careful of where you hook up on your vehicle. You will be standing right in the path of a torn off attachment point and it will be flying towards you at a very high speed.

standard off road equipment:

winch (8000lb)/comealong (6000lb)/other truck
****** strap/chain. use a strap when being pulled by another truck, use a chain when hand winching because they wont stretch
hi lift jucks are really nice to have
shovel
flashlight
D-rings
front and rear tow points

Thanks for the info guys. So is it recommended to use a chain? I thought that would be dangerous because it could snap. My truck has to tow hooks on the front and back so i'm good with that.

thats the best kind of wheelin. where you really never know if youll make it to the other side of a hole, no matter how elementary it might be. and havin to pick out your lines through holes and over hills without gettin high centered. almost makes me miss my 31" all terrains
