bilstein, its a good quality proven shock. their basic 5100 series will do you good. Like most other things in the aftermarket world, you get what you pay for with shocks.

Give me the vehicle details and I can quote you for comparison. But can say the 9000xls are going to be more than the 5100s. You do get the valving adjustable option with the Ranchos though.

F- O- A shocks in las vegas. great bypass shocks for half the price of kings or fox. but as stated earlier by gr8dane for your purposes the bilsteins are a great shock with years of r&d behind them. i don't like rancho anything. junk shocks.

Default Shocks

A gas pressurized shock absorber will improve ride control, eliminate acceleration squat, minimize bracking nose dive and control roll and pitch.

I have the Bilstein 5100's and I love the ride. That would be my recommendation.
