i dont think the lower valance looks bad at all on your truck but i also dont think you can just take it off i think it is probably held on by clips or screws along the bottom edge of your bumper and either cliped or bolted alont the bottom also so if you took it off i think there would be exposed holes and whatnot plus im not even sure that there is much behind the valance besides the foglights and some crossmembers!!

^ya dude, trust me, when I was doing my valance swap with one that had the fog light holes and the tow hook holes, I looked at it w/o the valance, and it was bare, showing a lot of "stuff" that would need covering from rock and such that fly up. You can take off the bottom of the valance and it would look alright, but if you take it all off its going to leave a lot exposed and there will be bumper mounts showing.

If you want a change....get a whole steel bumper that has a skid plate from the bumper to the lower A arms, i think or something like that.

Usually there's just screws holding that piece of plastic onto your bumper. If I wanted to take mine off I could easily do it.

If you replace the front bumper/valance with a steel bumper your front will sag big time. The valance is soft and will stand a fair amount of abuse before it tears. I had mine off and it looks like shît with out it.
