i have a 91 f150 with the 5.8L and AT. i went to start it today and the ignition made a pop noise. it has been hard to turn since it got cold out. now it doesnt have any resistants and wont start or turn off the accesories. this is just a ol wood truck/toy. is there any way to wire the ignition to toggles and make it start with a push button? i realy dont want to spend much money on it, any help would be greatly appriciated.

i have had like 6 of this model of truck...and almost everyone of them i just put a push button on.. the way i did it run 2 wires from the selenoid to a push button mounted on the dash....you have to have your key turned to the run position..but thats it...and it will still turn over with key off...it just wont start.. i ran 1wire to the push button from the little wire on the selenoid on the fender...and another wire from the bigger wire on the selnoid to the push button(dont remember which wire..i think it was the one closes it to the fire wall)
