Default Bed cage plus tonneau cover?

So can I run a bed cage and a tonneau cover? Or is this a bad idea? I was thinking a Dixon bros bed cage and my low rider tonneau cover. My truck is a 1997 f150 4x4 offroad 5.4l reg cab short box flareside.

im sure you could have one made, it would just shorten the stroke length of the shock. also it might be overkill to have a bedcage fabbed up if your front suspension cant keep up with the rear

Yea I know. I plan on doing Dixon bros up front since know one makes mid travel kits for these trucks anymore. Wanting to know if I can do a small bed cage because I'd likes to keep my tonneau cover.

I have a bed cage under my cover. Works great cycles 15+ inches. Its all bolt in and im using a double bypass 14" King. I'm a fabricator (long time hobbie), I'll send some pics as soon as I can. Or send me a message with your # and I'll text you.
