Default Anyone have 8" Driving lights???

Hey guys. Im lookin to buy a smittybilt street bar but of course need some lights. Ive decided to go with pro comp lights but can't decide whether to get the 130watt 8" or the 100watt 6"... im getting two of either one and im also gonna get two 100watt 6"x9" rectangulars for the flood effect (it says: It combines the power of a high-performance driving light with the versatility of a driving/flood light...not sure if thats what im looking for). Im hoping some of you guys with experience in this area can help me out. I aint runnin the Baja but I do alot of off road driving at night and i wanna be able to see whats coming without pissin off the wife (you married guys will understand( haha. thnx in advance!

I have the same bar with 4 6" lights... I went with the 6"ers because i thought the 8's would look to big...

UPDATE: Im also considering Hella 500FF (2 driving, 2 fog) OR 2 700FF's and 2 500FF fogs...but they are only 55watts. How big is the diff? Also would my stock battery and alternator be okay with just four lights (either the 55's or the 100+'s). Really need some advice on this lol.

I run the 4, 100 watt lights off of my stock system with no problem... No dimming when I turn them on... I cannot tell you how the 55 watts would look but i can tell you that with 4, 100 watt lights on it far outreaches my brights... It is actually kind of disappointing if I have to shut them off (oncoming traffic on my dirt road) because they make it that much easier to see...

Procomps... They handled getting hit pretty good (along with the light bar...) by another vehicle... Had to replace the light bar but it saved the front end from pretty significant damage...

ive recently put the same bar on but went with 2 130W long range KC Daylighters and 2 130W driving daylighters. i agree with cam, its a bummer when you have to turn em off its like going from 1M candle power spot light to a small maglight haha.

I've got the 500FF's and yea don't worry with it being your truck is actually 4X4(mine isn't) you'd want alot more light then it'll give off. They basically shoot some light up in front of where the stock lights stop, thats about it. And 100 watts not only are brighter but make a much wider span of light, the 500ff's simply don't haha
