I put a lift on my 2wd because I don't like dragging my pecker on the ground

Default a lot of fun

I do 2wd in pismo all the time its a real good time but when I get stuck (which I do a lot ) just put it in 4x4 and boom 90% of the time I'm out other 10% any of the 10 trucks I ride with bust me out real quick

I wanted the new motor for my 6k pound Mastercraft, so that made it easy. I literally dont need 4wd. My next truck will have it as a novelty that ill never use. using 4wd on a boat ramp is stupid and is a great way to destroy a IFS 4WD system, so that argument is invalid

that being said, Im building my truck into a pre runner.. lol

Saying using 4wd on a boat ramp is stupid wasn't a very bright comment itself. 2wd is useless on a boat ramp if to get the boat in your back wheels of the truck come to rest on some moss that has grown on the cement ramp. Better hope you have 4wd and your front wheels sitting on dry or moss free pavement. I'd also like to see you put a boat in on a sand ramp like we have here in Florida without 4wd. My buddies and I have pulled a lot of 2wd trucks out of the sand. We have sugar white fine sand here in Florida and get into the deep stuff with a 2wd and you don't stand a chance.

Haha. I pull 6k pound wakeboard boats up wet ramps weekly. With my 2wd. I've been boating my entire life and have never needed 4wd on a ramp once.

I've had my wheels underwater and pulled my boat out with no issues. Using your 4wd on a wet ramp is stupid because when you come up to dry pavement, it's absolutely terrible on your CV axles.

I also don't live in Florida and I wouldn't want my Mastercraft trailer sinking in soft sand, as I dont think 4wd would help you there with that. This isn't your 3k lb center console or bass boat

Old post but, why are you so cocky? What happens when your front diff gives in the middle of nowhere and you are left with 2wd to get you back home? Get off your high horse bro.

I've offroaded many times in 2wd... Granted I had 4x4 if I needed it generally I was able to just muscle through in 2wd with a locker. When I was younger it was the "cool" thing to do seeing these guys getting their 4x4 diesels stuck for obvious weight reasons and plowing by them in 2wd throwing rooster tails. Now offroading in FL is nothing like the north but we get some pretty sticky mud. I mostly only used 4x4 in our nasty sugar sand.

Bottom line is 2wd guys have bigger peckers therefore don't need 4x4 to over compensate..
