Adding 2" to 6" lift kit
Hey all.. Before I get started - Yes.. I searched and just wanting some more opinions because I am not to familiar with this and want to make sure its done right and as best as possible. Moving on -
I am getting a 6" BDS lift kit with 37's next week (as the shop says), I have looked at F150's with 37's with the BDS kit, and to me, it looks a little crammed in there. What I am wanting to do is add about 2" to make it a 8" kit. What is the best way possible, yet practical (money and not destroying anything in the long run)way.
From what I have read -
Body lift - No good
Adding leveling kit - an option
All help is appreciated.
Thanks!
Tristan

I've seen 6" lifts with an additional 2" leveling spacer used for the front used to clear 37's. Not sure what was used in the rear, but I would guess either a combination of blocks and add-a-leafs or possibly a new leaf pack. May not be the cheapest route though.
If you're that set on 8", I would recommend doing it the right way and buying an 8" lift to avoid problems in the future. If that's not in the cards financially, I would say just run the 6" w/ 35's.

I hear ya. I am just set on the BDS lift. I have already ordered and payed for it. On there website it says it can clear 37's. I have read that people have and had no problems. I was just looking to get that little more clearance for 37's..
