Default 97 f150 4.6

Is any one running 37s on there 8.8 axles and if so any problems and what gears are u using

im runin 37`s with 4.56`s on my 8.8 and ive had it on the truck for 4 years now no problems

I ran 37's all last summer with my 4.6 and stock 3.55's haha.... It wasn't too bad for what it was.... I'm ordering 4.88s soon so I'll be set

What kind of mpgs r u getting with the 4.56s I'm thinking of doing 4.10s since I'm on the highway alot

Lifted 97 how much lift do u have to clear 37s I have 7" and I think I'm going to clear do u have pics of urs

You can clear a small 37. I'll be at 8" when I install my lift. I wanted to run 37's but I drive to much to justify tires every 1.5yrs. If you uwant you truck to perform similar to stock here is the calculation for it.

New tire size x Stock Gear ratio/Old tire size.

Here is a example from my truck
36x3.55/31= 4.25 or a 4.30 would be best but they dont make a reverse cut 4.30 for a 8.8.

Yea that's the problem no one makes the reverse cut 4.30 so 4.10s and loose power or 4.56 and loose economy

I get 14-15 mpg`s but im upgrading to 5.13`s and a locker for more get up and go power

I only have a 6in fabtech.... I removed the front fender flares for better turning but not too bad... here are some pix with the 37s on the truck
