6" Lift Wheel Size
I have a 2012 F150 Crew 4X4 that I am having a 6" Fabtech lift installed on Monday. I went over lift/wheel/tire options prior to the purchase. The wheels are 17X9 with 35X12.50 Toyo MT's and they assurred me the backspacing would be correct. After reading Fabtech's site, as well as other brands, they recommend an 18" rim with the 6" lift. They didn't specify that this was a must. Is anyone running a 17" rim with a 6" lift?
The shop I'm using is well versed in lifts and installs them all the time. I'm a little surprised by my findings and am wondering if there are going to be issues with a 17" rim. Thoughts?
Thanks guys,
Loren

17” wheel will be fine as long as the wheel has the correct back spacing required by Fab Tech for their lift spindles... I believe it’s 4.5-5"

Roger that. Thank you very much. I focused on the backspacing when questioning him and he stated that he had it taken care of. We shall see. Appreciate it techrep.
