I have a 1991 f150 manual hubs and manual linkage. 4x4 constantly was engaged, with hubs unlocked. When I would try and put in 4x4 it would have the front end jump and slip not grab or anything. I checked the hubs and they were destroyed. But when I went to them the driveshaft with the hubs in it was locked. When they were out it would turn with a heavy feeling. Like get tight then loose. And it would turn the one side of the axle then the other. Not at the same time. No locker, and its independent front suspension. Want to figure out soon so I can take her back out in the woods.
